ABSTRACT - Louisiana officials take over temporary management of troubled, privately run juvenile prison, Tallulah Correctional Center for Youth, after warden David Bonnette resigns following a lawsuit, critical reports by Federal investigators and several disturbances by inmates (S) Louisiana officials have taken over temporary management of a troubled, privately run juvenile prison after the warden resigned following a lawsuit, critical reports by Federal investigators and several disturbances by inmates. On Wednesday, Richard Stalder, the secretary of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, sent in a new warden, managers and a team of 35 guards drawn from the state's adult prison system. Mr. Stalder said his move was prompted by the resignation of the warden, David Bonnette, and was not a takeover of the prison, the Tallulah Correctional Center for Youth, which is owned and operated by a for-profit company, Trans-American Development Associates.
