As a part of Hunt and pagget’s collaborative On Movement, Thought and Politics, this project was developed out of workshops with members of the Los Angeles Garment Workers’ Center, leading to the staging of the Center’s political training materials — posters used to teach members how to help one another confront factory employers about unpaid wages and grievances. Taking these posters as a scripts, the participants directed themselves into tableaus for the camera, attempting to embody their reads of the posters, resulting in a three-channel video and photographic installation.
